Talks, workshops & mentoring
We give talks and run workshops on how we design and build games, from short introductions to hands-on sessions, in person or online. We're also regular mentors at game jams and accelerators, from local jams to the Excel Gaming Accelerator in Riyadh.
And if your degree or vocational programme includes a work-placement module, we're happy to take on interns, building projects around whatever they want to improve.
Full & partial courses
We also teach structured courses, full or partial, adapting to each group's tools, level and schedule, as we did at the EOI (Escuela de Organización Industrial).
Through simple prototypes we cover the fundamentals of programming, collisions, state machines, game feel and more: the tools to build your own games in no time.
Long ago we made this series of videos on YouTube that gives you a taste of how we teach, though live lessons are way more fun.
Postgraduate in Game Art & Programming, ULPGC
Beyond our own activities, we were part of the teaching team for the Postgraduate in Artistic Design and Game Programming at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. From 2014 to 2020 PlayMedusa helped design the programme and taught subjects such as Game Design, Post-production, Juiciness and Design Patterns in Unity, as well as hands-on training.
